Turtle, Traveller of Time / Tortuga viajera del tiempo

A traveller who measures the ocean in decades. The sea turtle carries its whole life across water, outliving storms and seasons, at home in the very element that imprisons others. In Water it stands for endurance across time: the patient crossing that turns exile into a long, deliberate voyage. It breathes air and dives again, proof that the surface is always within reach for the one willing to wait. The shell is a mosaic of ochres, greens and browns, each plate a small worked field within the larger abstract sea. Light filters through the water in pale columns, painted as texture rather than illusion, while the realist body glides free of the dissolving ground.
