I’m Elías Salas, a Hispanic-Cuban painter living and working in Galicia, in the north of Spain. My roots span two cultures, and that dialogue between the Caribbean and the Atlantic runs quietly through everything I create.

I trained at the Mastery Program of the Milan Art Institute, where I refined my voice as a mixed media artist. I love building images in layers —combining textures, mediums and colour to give each piece depth, movement and life.

Animals are at the heart of much of my work, though not the whole of it. I’m drawn to capturing their character and spirit, letting colour and gesture tell a story that goes beyond the surface. Each canvas is an invitation to pause, look closely and feel.

Soy Elías Salas, pintor hispano-cubano que vive y trabaja en Galicia, en el norte de España. Mis raíces abarcan dos culturas, y ese diálogo entre el Caribe y el Atlántico recorre en silencio todo lo que creo.

Me formé en el Mastery Program del Milan Art Institute, donde afiné mi voz como artista de técnica mixta. Me gusta construir las imágenes por capas, combinando texturas, materiales y color para dar a cada obra profundidad, movimiento y vida.

Los animales están en el corazón de buena parte de mi obra, aunque no de toda. Me atrae capturar su carácter y su espíritu, y dejar que el color y el gesto cuenten una historia que va más allá de la superficie. Cada lienzo es una invitación a detenerse, mirar de cerca y sentir.
