Turtles Toward Freedom / Tortugas hacia la libertad

Two of them now, aimed at the open sea. A single traveller becomes a pair, and the crossing turns shared. The two turtles move together toward open water, because no departure is ever truly made alone — someone leaves with you, or waits on the far shore. The direction is unmistakable: outward, toward the freedom the sea both denies and promises. Two realist forms angle across the square in loose parallel, their shells echoing each other in ochre and olive over a blue-green ground. The background is kept open and worked, textured water thinning toward a brighter zone that reads as the sea's edge.
